Southall man charged following fatal stabbing on North Road

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Navjot Singh, of Waxlow Crescent, has been charged with murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of an offensive weapon.
The charges relate to an incident in the early hours of 10 June 2026 when emergency services were called to North Road, close to the junction with Dormers Wells Lane in Southall.
Police officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene shortly after midnight and found two men suffering from injuries. Despite efforts by paramedics, Gurbhej Singh died at the scene.
A second man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command have been leading the investigation. A number of arrests were made in the days following the incident as officers carried out enquiries and gathered evidence.
Seven men were initially arrested on suspicion of murder. Police say six have since been released without further action, while another individual remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
Mr Singh's death shocked many in the local community. He was originally from Punjab, India, and had been living and working in the UK for several years. Family members in India have paid tribute to him and appealed for support in returning his body home.
The investigation remains ongoing and police continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information, CCTV footage or dashcam recordings from the North Road and Dormers Wells Lane area around the time of the incident to come forward.
Specialist officers continue to support Gurbhej Singh's family as enquiries progress.
