Rabindara Nath Pathak MBE dies aged 90

Tributes have been paid by the school community and local figures following his death in late February 2026.
Mr Pathak was long-associated with Featherstone High School, serving on its governing board for more than five decades. He was widely admired for his commitment to supporting the school’s development and the wider community.
In addition to his work in education, Mr Pathak also served as Mayor of the London Borough of Ealing in 1987/88, reflecting his broader civic engagement.
He was recognised for his voluntary service to education in the 2010 New Year Honours list, receiving an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for his contributions as Chairman of Governors at Featherstone High School.
Official records show he was a director of the Grand Union Multi Academy Trust (the trust overseeing Featherstone High School) from 2011 until August 2016.
