Safety Surgeries coming to Southall
Sat 15 Sep 2007Community safety officers will help with anything from street drinking, concerns about drugs and any issues relating to domestic violence.
The first surgery will be held on Wednesday 3 October, at Southall Library in Osterley Park Road, from 4-7 pm.
Officers will also give crime prevention advice and sign post people to the right agencies and services.
The surgeries will run on the first Wednesday of every month.
Councillor Sue Emment, Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, said: “These surgeries will allow people to come and get information and advice to help make their lives safer.
“The officers will be able to speak a range of languages and will help with referring people to the right services.
“Residents need to be able to share their concerns about anti-social behavior in a safe environment. These surgeries will give them that opportunity.
“Making communities safer is one of the Council’s priorities and we hope the surgeries will help people come forward and ask for help “
