SACA Charity Bike Ride 2025

Date: Sun 20 Jul 2025
Time: 3 - 4 pm
Description:
Today marks the conclusion of the annual Birmingham to London charity bike ride, organized by the Sikh Arts & Cultural Association (SACA).

Following last year’s milestone 40th anniversary, this year the Charity Bike Ride continues its proud tradition of uniting the community for a meaningful cause — combining the spirit of giving with the joy of cycling.

Since 1984, a group of riders have been pedaling with a purpose, uniting cyclists from across the nation to support incredible causes. These rides have transformed countless lives and supported numerous children’s charities.

Hundreds of cyclists coming from the Hayes direction, will be joyously cheered along Southall Broadway as they make their way towards their ultimate destination, Southall Park.

Those who successfully complete the ride will be recognized and awarded medals as a token of appreciation for their remarkable effort.

I am confident we all agree that supporting this noble cause is of utmost importance. It brings immense satisfaction to witness the cyclists being uplifted by the public's encouragement.

The cyclists are expected to reach Southall Broadway between 3 and 4 pm. If you can, we encourage you to join us in cheering them on as they head to their final destination at Southall Park.

As is tradition, the ride selects a children's charity as its annual beneficiary. This year, funds are being raised for Queen Elizabeth Hospital to support children's health initiatives, as well as the Home From Home Appeal, which provides free accommodation for young cancer patients and their families. Notably, the same two charities were supported last year.

Over the last 40 years, the ride has raised an estimated total of more than £700,000 to support sick and critically ill children.
