Protest for Palestine – Ealing Council Divestment Push

Date: Tue 10 Jun 2025
Time: 6 pm
Description:
Ealing residents will gather outside Ealing Town Hall on Tuesday, 10 June, stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The protest will also focus on the Ealing Council Divestment Campaign, with activists demanding that the council cut financial ties with companies complicit in genocide and the ongoing assault on Palestinian lives.

"Ealing Council has over £100 million invested in companies complicit in Israel’s war crimes—including Elbit Systems and Maersk, who supply weapons used against Palestinians."

"We’ve been leading the campaign to get Ealing Council to divest from companies complicit in genocide," said one organiser. "Public funds should not be invested in violence and occupation."

Protesters are calling for full transparency on council investments, particularly through the Local Government Pension Scheme, and for immediate action to divest from arms manufacturers and corporations supporting Israel’s military operations.

They are urging Ealing to follow the lead of other councils that have taken ethical stands in line with human rights principles.

Attendees are encouraged to bring flags, placards, and messages of peace and solidarity.

The protest aims to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank.

The protests represent the passion and unity of Ealing residents speaking out for justice — whether for families in Southall or people in Palestine.

Everyone is welcome. Bring your voice. Bring your sign. Be heard.
