Stop the Closure of Southall Crown Post Office meeting
Date: Tue 23 Jan 2024Time: 6 pm - 8 pm
A public meeting to discuss the closure of Southall Crown Post Office at the Dominion Centre and Library.
We believe this proposal will severely damage the provision of services and we call upon the Post Office to withdraw their plans and retain the Crown Post Office.
The closure will lead to:
- The loss of service to the community
- The loss of local knowledge and well-trained dedicated staff
- The loss of meaningful employment within the community
The Post Office, a government-owned public entity, is urged to halt its cost-cutting initiative involving closures. We are calling on the government and the Post Office to engage in discussions with unions, customers, small businesses, and communities dependent on its services.
Together, we can collaboratively devise a new strategy aimed at fostering innovative services and ensuring the Post Office's sustainability for the future.
Allow the services to be maintained for the community.
