Today will mark the end of the annual Birmingham to London charity bike ride organized by the Sikh Arts & Cultural Association (SACA).

Hundreds of cyclists coming from the Hayes direction, will be joyously cheered along Southall Broadway as they make their way towards their ultimate destination, Southall Park.

The cyclists who successfully complete their ride will be duly recognized and presented with medals as a token of appreciation for their remarkable effort.

I am sure we all agree that supporting this noble cause is of utmost importance, and it brings immense satisfaction to witness the cyclists being uplifted by the encouragement they receive from the public.

Anticipated arrival times for the cyclists range from 2 to 3 pm. If you have the opportunity, we encourage you to join us at Southall Park and extend your support as they make their arrival in Southall.

As a tradition, the ride selects a children's charity as the beneficiary each year. For this year, they are raising funds for their Home From Home Appeal, which provides free accommodation for children and young people with cancer, and their families. It is worth mentioning that the funds raised in the previous year were for the 'Queen Elizabeth Hospital'.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, the SACA charity bike rides did not take place in 2020. However, in 2021, the Birmingham to London SACA Charity Bike Ride raised funds for the SACA Smile bus. The Smile bus will be utilized by disability charities in London.

Over the last 37 years, the ride has successfully raised over £650,000 to support sick and critically ill children.
