Help shape Southall's future
Wed 09 Nov 2011The meeting will take place at the Dominion Centre at 7pm on Wednesday, 16 November 2011. It is open to anyone who wants to find out what is being done to improve the town or who wants to contribute their ideas.
This is a follow on meeting to the Future of Southall meeting held in March 2011.
Council leader Julian Bell and police borough commander, Andy Rowell, will provide an update on what is being done to tackle issues raised at the previous event.
A panel of council officers who lead on regeneration, safety, transport and housing, will be on hand at the meeting to answer questions from the audience.
Voluntary groups, faith leaders, ward councillors, local businesses and residents associations have also been invited.
Council leader, councillor Julian Bell, said: "Southall is a great place, but it’s not without its problems."
"Many residents and businesses have for some time been looking to the council and police to take a lead on cleaning up the town and driving forward its regeneration."
"Getting local people involved in the plans is the key so I hope the public meeting will be well attended."
