The Muslims of Southall celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr last Tuesday. The mosques were overflowing with worshippers.

The standard message that is emphasised to them is to stay away from Broadway and spend the time with the family. Southall Broadway was quite at night, which might be due to drizzle during the day.

Although the Police are always prepared to enforce traffic restrictions, there was no need on Tuesday night.

Southall Broadway was far noisier on Wednesday night because some other towns like Slough celebrated Eid on Wednesday.

The only conclusion to be drawn, which only a few people were not aware of, is that most of the noise is created by people coming into Southall.
