68-year-old man dies following collision in Southall

Police were called at around 1:38pm on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, following reports of the collision.
Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and London’s Air Ambulance, attended the scene. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian sadly died at the location.
His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified. He has since been released on bail while further enquiries are carried out.
A crime scene was put in place following the incident, with detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit investigating what happened.
Police appeal for information
Detective Inspector Fiaz Janjua said the investigation is continuing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to come forward. Officers are also seeking footage that may have captured the collision or events leading up to it, including CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone and doorbell camera recordings.
Detective Inspector Janjua also expressed his condolences to the victim’s family and urged anyone with potentially relevant information to contact police.
