Brilliant Gastro has officially opened at Parkside Yards, ushering in a bold new era for the iconic brand.

After 50 years, the beloved restaurant begins a fresh chapter as a modern gastro pub, blending tradition with contemporary flair in a new location.

The Brilliant Restaurant on Western Road, Southall closed on 7 April 2025. Gulu Anand, father of chef Dipna Anad, originally opened the restaurant in 1975 with his brother Kewal. It served authentic Punjabi dishess with a touch of Kenyan influence.

The restaurant was managed by Gulu Anand, together with his daughter Dipna Anand and his son Shanker Anand. Each of them added their own style while keeping the traditional recipes and values that made Brilliant famous.

Over the years, it has welcomed several high-profile guests, including His Majesty King Charles, who described it as his favourite Indian restaurant. influence.

Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan have dined there. influence.

Gordon Ramsay, the famous British chef, praised Brilliant Restaurant’s authentic Punjabi cuisine on Ramsay’s Best Restaurant. influence.

To commemorate the closure, a special menu featuring classic dishes like karahi gosht, masala chicken, and samosa chaat was served on 4 April 2025.
