Families in Southall can access free school uniform items at a regular community event taking place at Manor House Café on Saturday 29 August 2026.

The initiative is designed to help local families save money on school essentials while also reducing clothing waste by giving good-quality, unwanted uniforms a new home.

Parents and carers can choose up to four school uniform items per child for free. Available items may include school shirts, trousers, skirts, jumpers and other essential school clothing, depending on donations received.

Families are also encouraged to support the scheme by bringing along school uniform items that their children have outgrown or no longer need. Donated uniforms can then be reused by other families in the local community.

The event takes place on the last Saturday of each month, making it a regular opportunity for families to access free uniform essentials.

The Southall uniform scheme is part of a wider effort to encourage reuse, reduce clothing waste and support families with the cost of school essentials.

Free Dr Bike service

Alongside the uniform event, a free Dr Bike service is also available, offering bike checks and minor repairs. The service runs from 10am to 1pm. Pre-booking is available by emailing mechanics@accteams.uk or calling 07949 877 511.
