SACA Charity Bike Ride 2026

Date: Sun 19 Jul 2026
Time: 3 - 4 pm
Description:
Today marks the conclusion of the annual Birmingham to London charity bike ride, organized by the Sikh Arts & Cultural Association (SACA).

The 2026 Charity Bike Ride continues SACA's proud tradition of bringing communities together in support of worthy causes. Combining the spirit of generosity with the enjoyment of cycling, the event remains one of the community's most anticipated annual fundraising events.

Since 1984, dedicated riders have been pedalling with purpose, raising vital funds for children's charities and making a lasting difference to countless lives. For more than four decades, the ride has united cyclists from across the country in a shared commitment to giving back.

Hundreds of cyclists arriving from the Hayes direction will once again receive a warm welcome from cheering crowds lining Southall Broadway before completing their inspiring journey at Southall Park, where friends, families and supporters will gather to celebrate another successful charity ride..

Cyclists who successfully complete the Birmingham to London ride will be presented with commemorative medals in recognition of their dedication, determination and outstanding achievement in support of charity.

Supporting this worthy cause continues to make a real difference, and the encouragement shown by the local community provides a tremendous boost to the riders as they complete the final miles of their journey.

The cyclists are expected to arrive along Southall Broadway between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm before making their way to Southall Park. If you are able to, please come along and join us in giving them a warm Southall welcome as they celebrate another successful Charity Bike Ride.

As is tradition, the ride selects a children's charity as its annual beneficiary. This year, funds are being raised for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham to support children's health initiatives, including the Home from Home Appeal, which provides free accommodation for young cancer patients and their families while they receive treatment. The same cause was also supported by last year's Charity Bike Ride.

Since the ride began in 1984, participants have raised an estimated total of more than £700,000 in support of sick and critically ill children, helping to make a lasting difference to young lives and their families.
