"Dukh" Short Film Screening & Q&A – Southall

A short film titled “Dukh” will be screened in Southall, followed by a live Q&A with writer and director Ajit Mann and invited guests.
The event gives audiences the opportunity to watch the film and hear directly from the filmmakers about its themes and production.
The screening will be followed by an open discussion where attendees can ask questions and take part in conversation.
Director Ajit Mann, born in Southall, is an independent filmmaker who has faced financial and personal challenges while pursuing a career in film.
After experiencing setbacks including the Covid-19 period and the loss of his father, he returned to filmmaking with renewed focus, creating his first short film Confess and later Dukh as his second project.
Dukh is a family drama exploring topics within Punjabi households that are often not openly discussed. The screening takes place at OPEN Southall Arts Centre, Parkside Yards, Southall, and aims to support independent filmmaking and community discussion.
