An exciting series from The Sher Jung Foundation showcasing talented writers - come along to our first event of the series.

Kicking off our series is The Sher Jung Foundation's own Mona Arshi, an acclaimed human rights lawyer-turned-poet who's authored two poetry collections, 'Small Hands' and 'Dear Big Gods'.

In 2021, Mona published her debut novel 'Somebody Loves You' which was shortlisted for a number of awards. Mona's poems and interviews have been published in The Times, The Guardian, Granta and The Times of India, as well as displayed on the London Underground.

In 2020, she was appointed Honorary Professor at the University of Liverpool and is currently a Fellow in Creative Writing at Trinity College, Cambridge.

The event will take place upstairs at Parkside Yards Southall, in The Green Quarter. Tickets are £5 and include refreshments. p>

The event will start promptly at 6.30pm. The venue is around a 10 minute walk from Southall Station on the Elizabeth Line and can also be accessed through several bus routes.
