New hard plastic recycling service

Sun 20 Jul 2014
Garden furniture and children’s toys can now be recycled in Ealing as a new hard plastic recycling service is launched at Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre.

Hard plastics include: garden furniture, buckets and flower pots, children’s toys, bowls, storage boxes and plastic coat hangers.

Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for environment and transport said: “This is just one of the many things that the council is doing to help residents to recycle even more.

It is fantastic to see this new service available and I look forward to seeing its impact on the borough’s 50% recycling target.

If you have broken or unwanted plastic items, bring them down to Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre on Greenford Road and help to reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfill.’’

Many items can be recycled at Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre including some that residents may not be aware of.
