Man charged with murder of Allan Isichei

A 35-year-old man, Gurjeet Singh Lall, was charged the murder of 69-year-old Allan Isichei.

Police were called to St Mary’s Avenue South in Southall at 18:41hrs on Saturday, 24 August 2019 following reports of a man being stabbed.

Police officers, the London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Service attended and treated 69-year-old Allan Isichei for a stab injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene

A post-mortem examination was held at Uxbridge Mortuary on Sunday, 25 August 2019. The provisional cause of death was found to be an incised wound to abdomen.

Detective Inspector Jamie Stevenson, said: "We are in the very early stages of our investigation and are pursuing a number of leads to try to understand the motive for this horrendous incident."

"We have spoken to a number of people but I believe there may be more who have yet to speak to police. A man has lost his life in tragic circumstances; if you haven't yet spoken to us, please make the call."

A 35-year-old man arrested near the scene on suspicion of murder remains in hospital under police guard.

Gurjeet Singh Lall, 35 (2.12.83) of Ealing was charged on Friday, 30 August with the murder of 69-year-old Allan Isichei.

He appeared in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this afternoon and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 3 September 2019.

Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating.
