Gunshots were heard in the centre of Southall last night

Several gunshots were fired at the window of a Barber’s shop near Southall Broadway

Police were called to The Broadway, Southall at 2042hrs on 09 October 2018 to reports of shots being fired at a commercial premises.

Police cordoned off part of Abbotts Road at the junction of The Broadway, Southall. The commercial premises that had a window damaged was a barber's shop with its entrance in Abbotts Road. There were no reported injuries.

Armed Police were on the scene, cordoning off a small section of Abbots Road and advising residents to “Please go inside your property for your own safety.”

A police sniffer dog was also on the scene.

Around 11pm, police were knocking on doors in Abbotts Road and asking residents if they saw or heard anything.

The cordon was lifted at around 4 am today (Wednesday 10 October 2018).

No arrests were made and enquiries continue.
